WASTEMINZ – Be the Change Summit
The Wasteminz ‘Be the Change’ Summit took place from Monday, 19 October until Wednesday 21 October. The Summit was originally planned to take place in person but given the uncertainty around Covid-19 a new virtual format was created.
As alert levels were lowered, Wasteminz were able to organise local hubs around New Zealand, which allowed delegates to attend sessions in-person and watch the live stream with other colleagues.
Hill Laboratories were proud to sponsor the Contaminated Land Stream (CLM) Hub in Auckland - which was based at the University of Auckland’s Epsom Campus on Wednesday 21 October.
This stream focused on re-thinking the role of sustainability in business. It was a great opportunity for consultants and collectives to enthusiastically engage in discussions around contaminated land planning and management that will improve the future throughout the entire industry for New Zealand.
Hill Labs were lucky enough to have a few panel discussions take place live from the Auckland Hub, which were then streamed to the other hubs and virtual conference delegates. One of our Environmental Key Account Managers, Kelly Mahar, attended the Auckland CLM Hub and thoroughly enjoyed the presentations, with the highlight being Dave Bull discussing banning remediation.
After a tough year for networking events and conferences, it was a real pleasure to support the Wasteminz Hub and lead the change in a new era of networking events and conferences.
