Tempo Testing
Date: 9 Aug 2022
Author: Hill Laboratories

We are upping the Tempo for testing spoilage organisms in food products and changing the rhythm of our lab processes to give our customers faster results.
The enumeration of microbial flora indicates the microbiological quality of the production process from raw material to finished products.
These quality indicators are important in establishing a HACCP approach and guaranteeing the commercial value of finished products.
The quality indicators we routinely enumerate include Total Count, Coliforms, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacteriaceae, Bacillus cereus, Yeasts & Moulds and Lactic Acid Bacteria, and we are looking to expand this list further.
Having used Tempo Automated MPN technology for a few years now, it is not only extensively validated but has also been tested it to its limits with a large range of sample types including food matrices, petfood and environmental samples - and we are keen to try out more! Our methods are AOAC and AFNOR/ISO approved to provide our customers with the confidence they need to make important decisions and test results are available typically 1 to 2 days faster than with traditional methods
We are proud to be leaders in providing rapid results, innovative concepts and technical solutions to our customers' problems.
