“With my role as a Key Account Manager, it is vital that I understand our customer’s core business and the market they operate in. This ensures that they receive a tailored service that is well suited to their needs. My role provides an important link between our customers and the laboratory, enabling the testing process from start to finish to be as smooth as possible.
Before moving into this role, I started my career at Hill Laboratories as an Urgent Waters Technician. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning. I enjoy working here as there is a strong focus on growing and retaining staff, with many career pathways in the business to choose from. I started in the commercial team with just a small amount of business experience, therefore the ability to learn technical sales skills, how to win new clients and build positive business relationships has been very rewarding. You can tell that this company sees value in every individual, as they invest a lot in upskilling staff and providing a continuous learning environment.
It is exciting to be in a business that is at the forefront of innovation in their industry. I was heavily involved with setting up testing services for the hemp market that emerged in New Zealand and receiving the first lot of samples from this market has definitely been a career highlight for me!”
