“I joined the Hill Labs team in 2020, right after the first nationwide lockdown. After working in human resources across a wide range of industries including debt collection, agriculture and manufacturing, I decided that joining an analytical laboratory might be interesting and it’s definitely given me new insight into a fascinating industry.
When it comes to working in HR, I’m most passionate about the growth and development of our people - watching talented employees develop and grow into bigger roles is the best part of my job. I love celebrating their successes! I also really enjoy getting to build relationships with people all across the business.
On any given day, you might find me working on plans to maintain and improve employee wellbeing and engagement, facilitating a training workshop or getting out and about and connecting with and checking in on our people around the Duke Street offices.
If I had to choose one favourite thing about Hill Labs - it’s the people. The people here are smart, passionate, engaged and committed to working toward a common goal.
When I’m not at work, I love all things related to food, with cooking and baking being a particular passion of mine. Travelling is also a passion, and plans are underway to escape NZ as soon as it is safe to do so! In the meantime, my partner and I really enjoy spending time in the Coromandel with our two dogs, when we can get there.”
