Further Improvements To Honey Testing

As we near the end of the busy season for honey testing, it is rewarding to reflect on the tangible improvements that have resulted from our recent investment in our honey testing service, and the felt value this has created for our growing Honey customer base.
This season will be remembered for the severe weather events that resulted in significantly lower honey yields compared to previous years, due to its impact on flowering and the foraging of bees. However, the needs of our customers to have their honey tested and results reported in a timely manner remain unchanged. Our team understands the commercial considerations that are at play when testing export products, and the risk of incurring costs when product shipments are delayed while waiting for test results. Because of various operational improvement initiatives, we have been able to reduce our turnaround time (TAT) for a number of honey tests, and we have kept those TAT promises, reporting more than 98% of results over the past 11 months within the stated TAT.
Our range of honey tests have also been expanded, including the extension of our physical properties suite to include Conductivity and Brix. The fact that we now offer urgent testing for glyphosate means that urgent results can be reported the same day if received before 9am. It’s worth noting that we also offer multi-residue testing in honey.
Making it easier for our customers to do business with us remains a priority. The development and implementation of digital tools that simplify sample submission and result reporting is an area of continued and focussed investment across our business. Our team is working with third party service providers to ensure seamless integration with existing platforms, and our customers will soon be introduced to further improvements in the digital space.
