Faster Microbiology Results with TEMPO Technology
In order to prevent food poisoning and promote food safety, microbiological testing on food products and produce is fast becoming a requirement of export markets, as well as being part of food safety programs. Hill Laboratories offer an alternative method (TEMPO) for microbiological testing, with much faster turnaround times compared to traditional methods.
TEMPO methods are now well established at Hill Laboratories. Testing for spoilage organisms has traditionally been done manually, using agar plates and culture tubes. TEMPO is a faster, semi-automated method that is typically 1-2 days faster than traditional methods. The method is IANZ accredited, can handle most sample types including swabs and includes the following tests: Total Count, Coliforms, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacteriaceae, Bacillus cereus, Yeasts & Moulds and Lactic Acid Bacteria.
