ETS laboratories with its headquarters based in Napa California is a world leader in wine testing. Hill Laboratories has collaborated with CEO Gordon Burns and the staff at ETS to bring you this successfull laboratory service for the first time in New Zealand.
Chemistry testing
We are offering the fullest range of wine tests available in the New Zealand market today using modern accurate equipment . Alongside the traditional tests for pH, Brix, and titratable acidity, we have designed panels of juice tests for your convenience including malics and YAN. During and post harvest we offer testing of stuck or sluggish ferments, SO2 levels, alcohols, VA, wine stability, RS, metals and many more including our wine export certification.
Microbiological testing
For many years ETS labs have been able to offer American winemakers a fast, accurate and reliable method for tracking any spoilage organisms using DNA recognition equipment. Hill Laboratories is proud to offer this service to our winemakers, providing you with a result in 1 to 2 days. We will still be offering our traditional plating method for winemakers who do not require fast turnaround times.
