Bottling and Export

We provide testing for the prevention of microbial spoilage as well as all the testing required for Wine Export Certification testing.

This testing can be done quickly and cost effectively particularly if you export to several different countries.

Core tests for Bottling and Export

Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottle Fermentation Panel

The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottle Fermentation Panel is designed to detect the two yeasts most commonly associated with secondary fermentation in the bottle; Saccharomyces and Zygosaccharomyces. Wines bottled with residual amounts of sugar can undergo fermentation in the bottle resulting in turbidity and elevated carbon dioxide levels.

The Bottle fermentation panel can be used as either a pre-bottling or post-bottling screening tool. In addition, Brettanomyces is included in this panel.
The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottle Fermentation Panel includes:

  • Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces,  Zygosaccharomyces

Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottle Sterility Panel

The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Wine Sterility Panel is designed to detect all of the potential wine spoilage organisms. This panel provides information to assist decision making with regards to filtration or to check wines that have been sterile filtered.

The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottled Sterility Panel includes:

  • Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Acetic Acid Bacteria, Oenococcus, Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces, Zygosaccharomyces

Basic Wine Panel

This panel will provide with basic wine parameters post ferment.
This panel includes:

  • pH, TA, Free and Total Sulphur, Alcohol, Acetic acid, Glucose / Fructose, Malic acid

Enhanced Wine Panel

The Enhanced Wine Panel has the same chemical tests as above but with the added test of a Scorpions® Rapid DNA test.
This panel includes:

  • pH, Titratable acidity (TA), Free and Total Sulphur , Alcohol, Acetic acid , Glucose/Fructose, Malic acid and a Scorpions® test of your choice

EU Export Panel

This panel contains all the testing parameters that you will need to export your wine to EU countries.
This panel includes:
