Stabilisation & Clarification
We offer a range of microbiological and chemical tests to check the stability of wines post ferment prior to bottling.
Core tests for Stabilisation and Clarification
Cold Stability test
We use a freeze/thaw method to determine the tartrate stability of your wine.
Haze Identification
This test assists identifying the cause of any clarification issues through microscopy and/or qualitative analysis.
Heat stability check
This test determines whether your wine is protein stable.
The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Wine Panels
designed to detect all of the potential wine spoilage organisms. This panel provides information to assist decision making with regards to filtration.Scorpions® Rapid DNA Wine Spoilage Panel – Bacteria + All Yeast
The Scorpions® Rapid DNA wine Spoilage Panel (Bacteria + All Yeast) includes:
- Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Acetic Acid Bacteria, Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces, Zygosaccharomyces, Hanseniaspora, Pichia
Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottle Sterility Panel
The Scorpions® Rapid DNA Bottled Sterility Panel includes:
- Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Acetic Acid Bacteria, Oenococcus, Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces, Zygosaccharomyces
Rapid DNA Wine All Yeast panel
The Wine All Yeast Panel is designed to provide detection of yeast commonly associated with the wine production process. This panel was developed at the request of winemakers that wanted a complete yeast profile at the beginning of fermentation. This panel is often used by proponents of "native" or spontaneous fermentations to monitor the development of yeast populations during the course of their fermentations
