Professional Statement
With 21 years of winemaking experience Kirsten has worked in seven different countries in wineries ranging in scale from boutique to 1000-tonnes, producing wine styles from sparkling to fortified that have gained recognition and medals in the show circuit. Her specific areas of interest and work focus recently have been on cap management of Pinot noir / phenolic extraction; methods of adding texture to cool climate whites, volatile compounds and fermentation dynamics of wild yeast ferments and the production of premium sparkling wine.

This 30 minute video is also taken from the summer lecture series. It provides a good overview of the new testing service specially designed by Hill laboratories and ETS for wine makers in New Zealand. The video covers an overview of Vine to Vintage, how to send in samples, where to get more information and also provides the viewer with some real life examples of the sort of results generated.
