Mineral Testing of Palm Kernel
Palm Kernel (PKE) can be tested for complete minerals. The Basic Plant Profile includes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron and PKE can also be tested for cobalt, molydnenum and selenium (or MS).
Palm Kernel can also be tested for Starch and Mycotoxins (Aflatoxins) if required.
For feed waste and feed concentrate samples, please contact the laboratory to discuss testing options, before sending in the samples.
Taking a Sample
Supply 1 kg of representative sample in a suitable air tight bag such as a feed test bag, resealable plastic bag or well labelled soil test bag. Include several hand “grab” samples taken from various sites of the feed sample to help ensure the results are representative of the product. Squeeze the air out of the bag and courier the sample to the laboratory as soon as possible. Request the Compound Feed Profile or Palm Kernel testing.
How to Order a Test
Complimentary Feedstuff Test Kits are available from the laboratory. These sample kits contain instructions, an analysis request form, sampling bags and courier bag to send in the samples.
