Ray arrived in New Zealand in 2002 after a long and distinguished science publishing career in London and New York that culminated in a Global Vice President position for INSPEC and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (now IET). An initial consultant role at AgResearch developed into a full-time Business Development Manager role before he was lured to an International Business and General Management for Comvita based in Cambridge. An 18-month stint as CEO at the Waikato Chamber of Commerce followed and from there Ray joined Hill Labs as Agriculture Divisional Manager early in 2008. Coming to Hills allowed Ray to again merge his twin interests of science and business.
