Hill Laboratories invests in the sponsorship of a national event called Realise the Dream recognising High School students who have demonstrated excellence in research and technological practise.

The Hill Laboratories Summer science school is a week long event run by the University of Waikato. 50 budding young scientists from around New Zealand are given the chance to experience the latest science techniques, meet like-minded science students and experience university life first hand every year.

This competition enables keen Year 13 chemists to spend a day in the University laboratories and mix with peers from other schools. This also provides an opportunity for the teachers who accompany the students to meet with each other and university chemists.

Hill Laboratories is a sponsor of the Waikato regional Science and Technology fair bringing together school children from all over the country that wish to exhibit a science and technology project at the technology fair. Regional winners also have the chance to progress onto the national science and technology fair Realise the Dream (also sponsored by Hill Laboratories)
